Neff was started in 1877 by Carl Andreas Neff, and was originally known as Carl Neff Herd und Ofenfabrik (stove and oven factory). They first made a gas oven in 1914, and had introduced an oven with a thermostat in 1950.
In 1957, they first introduced their microwave ovens, while in 1958 introduced their induction cooking hobs. That’s right – induction cooking hobs, in 1958. Even though induction cooking hobs have only become popular recently, the first patents for induction cooking hobs date back to the early 1900’s.
Ion 1971, Neff introduced it’s CircoTherm®, system where hot air was circulated around the oven to distribute heat and ensure more even cooking.
In more recent years, Neff has continued introducing new innovations to benefit the household consumer. These include the CircoTherm®, FlameSelect®, NeffLight®, Slide&Hide®, TwistPad®, TwistPadFire®, VarioSteam®, as well as FlexInduction cooktops, and FullSteam capability.
